Essential reading before you start this source. Very good overview of women in the armed services in WW2
strongly recommended reading - obituary of the author of the source
highly recommended reading - a very brief summary of the armed services for women in WW2
some good detail on what type of non combat jobs were done in the ATS and how many women were involved with it. Also gives a sense of how the ATS changed as the war progressed
